68. Susanna BLYTH inherited land and property from her father on 14 May 1785. Her father left Susanna farm property and land in West Bergholt, Essex where she and her husband were currently living. Susanna was instructed to pay her mother, Martha, £20 per year out of the profits of the land. At the time of Susanna's death the farm was to pass to her son, James. She was made Executor to the will of her husband, Samuel, on 7 Jun 1800. She inherited the remainder of her husbands estate on 8 Jul 1800. She was made Executor to the will of her daughter, Susannah, on 11 Oct 1800. She inherited all the land belonging to her mother in Langham on 18 Sep 1802. Susanna was also to receive the yearly interest on £200 which had been invested by her mothers executors. At her death the £200 shall be divided between her two daughters, Amelia and Susanna. Susanna also was to receive the residue of her mothers estate. She inherited a share in £300 from her daughter, Susannah, on 5 May 1808. Susanna was to share the £300 with her daughter, Amelia. They were also to share all her daughters personal estate. She signed a Will on 24 Jun 1821. At the time of writing her will Susannah was living in Colchester. She had previously been living in West Bergholt. She was buried on 6 Jul 1821 in West Bergholt, Essex. Susanna died aged 65 years. She was from St Peters, Colchester. Her Will was proved on 16 Jul 1823.

She was married to Samuel RATCLIFF before 6 Dec 1784. Samuel RATCLIFF was a Farmer about 1800 in West Bergholt, Essex. He signed a Will on 7 Jun 1800. When Samuel wrote his will he was living in West Bergholt. He was buried on 17 Jun 1800 in West Bergholt, Essex. His Will was proved on 8 Jul 1800 in London. Susanna BLYTH and Samuel RATCLIFF had the following children:

child117 i. Susannah RATCLIFF was born on 13 Jul 1780. She was baptized on 31 Jul 1780 in West Bergholt, Essex. She inherited £300 from her father on 8 Jul 1800. Susannahs legacy was to be invested until she reached the age of 21. The interest was to be used towards her upbringing. She signed a Will on 11 Oct 1800. When Susannah wrote her will she was living in West Bergholt. She inherited a share of her grandmothers property and land on 18 Sep 1802. Susanna's grandmother left her mother land and property in Langham. When her mother died this was to be split equally between Amelia and her sister, Amelia. Susanna was also to receive £50 from her grandmothers estate. She was buried on 25 Mar 1808 in West Bergholt, Essex.
child118 ii. Samuel RATCLIFF was baptized on 25 Aug 1782 in West Bergholt, Essex. He inherited the residue of money arising from sale of property belonging to his father on 8 Jul 1800. Samuels father instructed that his property in Groton, Little Stonham and Earls Stonham, Suffolk were to be sold. The legacies for his children came from the proceeds. The residue went to Samuel to be invested until he reached 21. The interest was to be used towards his upbringing. He was made Executor to the will of his mother, Susannah Ratcliff, on 24 Jun 1821. Samuel died before his mother. He was buried on 4 Nov 1821 in West Bergholt, Essex. Samuel, 39, was from Dedham. He inherited £1000 from his mother on 16 Jul 1823. Samuel was to also have received a half share of the remainder of his mothers estate after all the costs and legacies had been paid.
